Changes are coming in 2020 to the liquid-cooled product lineup. The current RG06024, QT07068, and QT08054 units are being phased out. A new RG06045 (60kW) and a new RG08045 (80kW) will launch early in 2020. The new product will feature a new engine, have different dimensions, and will have new pricing. As of this moment, Generac does not yet have approval from SWRI (Southwest Research Institute) for the 18” offset on the new RG04845. Approval is expected at some point still in Q1 2020 and once approval is granted, new units will begin shipping with the SWRI sticker confirming the 18” offset allowance for the model. It was previously announced that the 60kW (RG06024) and 80kW (QT08054) would transition to new models with a new engine in Q1 2020. I have learned that there has been a delay with the lineup changes and any plans to release a new 60kW/80kW with a new engine have been pushed back until at least June or July 2020. The current 70kW (QT07068) is still on schedule to be phased out and discontinued in Q1 2020.
