RG04845 UPDATE

As of this moment, Generac does not yet have approval from SWRI (Southwest Research Institute) for the 18” offset on the new RG04845. Approval is expected at some point still in Q1 2020 and once approval is granted, new units will begin shipping with the SWRI sticker confirming the 18” offset allowance for the model. This means that for now, the only liquid-cooled models that can be 18” from a wall with no windows, vents, or openings are the RG02224, RG02515, RG02724, RG03015, RG03224, and RG03824.

The new RG04845 does take new cold weather accessories. The battery wrap (Cold Weather Kit) for the RG04845 is part number #7992 and the block heater (Extreme Cold Weather Kit) for the RG04845 is part number #7990. #7992 is currently available to order in Dealer Connection, but #7990 is not yet available. Once “CALL” is removed from pricing for this line item in Dealer Connection, orders will begin to be accepted for this item.

Please note that previous cold weather kits (such as #5632 or #7088) will not work with the new RG04845 model.
